This is a very valid point; there is nothing worse than hearing a performer's system turned up to full volume.  Our focus is on quality, not necessary quantity, so the sound level will be that which is most appropriate to the event.  If you do find it to be too loud or too quiet, a discrete word with the performer will help to put things right.
